Exclusive: A visit to the BMW Stand of the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA
I was given the opportunity, one week before the opening of the IAA, to take a peek at Hall 11 of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. Here I have two dozen pictures of BMW stand – an exclusive look behind the scenes!
Welcome to a little world of its own – Hall 11 on the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. During the IAA it is the world of BMW.
Construction is still in progress, but the BMW stand is even in this state a fascinating sight to see: this is probably because the the core feature of the BMW stand is already completed: the infinity sign that is the track circling the stand.
A total of 280 meters long, this road runs parallel to the main visitor axes. On the upper level the cars shoot past, a mere 50 cm away. Today two test vehicles are completing a few test laps. Twenty-four cars in total will be out on the track in the course of the show – from the BMW i3 to the new BMW M models. In addition, 62 vehicles will be exhibited to be experienced by visitors first hand.
The IAA opens its gates on 10 September. Until then, the countdown is on: final details need to be completed in the construction of the stand. There is much to do yet! The photos below are a first impression of what you can expect!
